This NPR explanation of a wonderful phenomenon that effects human beings blew my mind.  Not only can we not walk in a straight line while blindfolded, but we can't swim or drive straight either.  Even more interesting is the fact that we also can't walk straight without some sort of visual landmark to go off of.  I suppose this explains why people who get lost in the woods and walk forever, only to end up back where they started.  Via UFUNK.
